Work
at Solcon begins starts presales. On receipt of an enquiry,
the Solcon team gets down to the site to study the location
and understand specific customer needs. Based on this study,
systems and equipments are designed at Solons full fledge
Design division. A special cell equipped with the latest CAD
systems and manned by a team of talented design engineers
and skilled draughts men, this division generates schemes
that are then evaluated for their techno-economic feasibility
before presenting to the client.
Tougher the assignment, the better.
Because Solcon thrives on challenges. Seeing very new task
as a means of expanding its capabilities. Thus over the years,
while serving various clients, Solcon has moved beyond Coal
and Ash Conveying to Handling Soya bean, Limestone, Cement,
Iron Ore and other materials.
Once the layout and detailed drawings
are prepared and approved the manufacturing process commences.
At the companies large facility at Pune with skilled and experience
workers we manufacture assemble and test key components such
as Rollers and Pulleys and equipments like Crushers, Screens,
Rotary Feeders, Reciprocating Feeders, Screw Conveyors, belt
Feeders, bucket Elevators etc.
At our factory we have the latest manufacturing
and testing facilities to produce equipments that meet Solcon's
own high standards of performance and durability with minimum
downtime and power consumption.
For instance idler rollers which are
the heart of Belt Conveyors are manufactured on fully Automatic
Welding Machines to obtain concentricity. A great deal of
research has gone into the development of seals to give the
desired friction levels without ingress of dust and water.
We have tight control on every manufacturing
process due to which deadlines are met which keeps the clients
work on schedule without an loss of valuable time or money.

Stringent Testing
Testing is an all-important part of
Solcon's operations and indeed the secret of it's success.
Inspection is done at all stages of manufacturing starting
with the raw material. The procured items like casting are
checked for their composition. Finished products are tested
for dimensional accuracy.
Besides the general tests and checks
at very stage of the Manufacturing and Assembling process,
special attention is paid to critical components such as rollers
and pulleys which play a crucial role in the performance of
a belt conveyor system.
The seals at the ends of the rollers
have been developed for achieving minimum friction and eliminating
water and dust ingress. And these are tested on machines especially
designed at Solcon.
Pulley shafts are of EN - 8 which are
tested before being used for manufacturing and all pulleys
are statically balanced to ensure uniform loading of the bearings,
thus increasing operational life. The bought out items and
other fabricated item that go into making a complete conveying
system are dispatched only after approved by Solcon's quality
assurance engineers to ensure desired Quality and Performance.
When it comes to installations. Solcon
makes sure nothing is left to chance. A site supervisor is
appointed for each project to supervise and monitor progress.
Strict stage-wise inspections are carried out and any problem
or contingency that may rise, is promptly dealt with.
For the actual erection and construction,
Solcon has its own construction company, which specialises
in this field. This avoids communication gaps and the resultant
delays, with assuring quality and punctuality.
Thus, while clients are saved the inconvenience
of personally supervising project installations or hiring
other companies for the job, they know with Solcon they are
guaranteed timely completion of the system.
