Activities

Solcon Engineers are engaged in executing turnkey projects including Designing, Manufacturing and Implementation of Conveying Systems including equipment such as Belt Conveyors, Bucket Elevators, Screw Conveyors, Slat Conveyors, Vibrating Feeders, Crushers and Screens etc. for handling a wide range of solid materials. We undertake turnkey project work for supply and erection of material handling systems. we have already executed several projects for Coal handling Plants, Ash Handling plants, Salt Handling Plants, Iron ore Handling Plants, Washery Rejects Handling Systems, Fire Fluidised Bed Combustion Boilers and other types of Boilers.

Project Capacity

Currently we handle 7 to 8 projects simultaneously. A project takes on an average 6 to 8 months (depending on the capacity) for completion. However SOLCON has a capacity to handle 10 large projects at a time. We have completed several projects for conveying variety of materials like Ash, Salt, Limestone, Iron Ore, Coal for Coal Fired Fluidised Bed Combustion Boilers and other types of Boilers.

Project Challenges

Material Handling Project of any size and for any solid Material involves a lot of imagination. There is not a standard design available for specific requirements, which vary from place to place and from material to material. Sometime the clients have only a vague idea of what is to be done and sometimes they support with photographs or pictures. Every project is a challenge for us.

For e.g. in a project we had to handle concrete Mixture for construction of a dam wall. This system for Conveying Concrete Mixture was 75 to 80 Meters Down into a Valley. Another one involved a Chemical Industry, which required zigzag type stainless steel conveyors from a Japanese design shown in the form of photographs. It was a new concept at that time and we could successfully Design, Manufacture and install the same to the customers satisfaction.

SOLCON Team

Our independent Design and development Team is fully equipped with all the necessary infrastructure and Technical expertise to handle any type of project. The entire designing work is handled by our CAD Department and is supervised by our Director Mr. G. B. Ghule. For the smooth functioning of the organization we have several Departments for Projects, Services and erection besides Sales and Accounts. The company has a total strength of 100 employees including the erection crew at various sites and managers and workers at the factory. Apart from our own facilities we also outsource some of the processes to other industries.

Production Unit

The constant flow of workload enable us to increase our production base and in the year 1984 we set-up our own workshop on a 40,000 sq. feet plot with facilities like Lathes and Milling Machines.
